Why Check Domain Security?

Checking domain security is crucial to protect against cyber threats like phishing, domain spoofing, and unauthorized access. Regular security checks help identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with best practices, and maintain the integrity and reputation of the domain. This is essential not only for safeguarding sensitive information but also for preserving user trust and confidence in digital interactions with the domain.

What is DMARC and why do I need it?

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) is an email authentication protocol that protects your domain from being used in phishing and spoofing attacks. It tells receiving mail servers how to handle emails that fail authentication checks. You need DMARC because major email providers like Google and Microsoft now require it—without DMARC, your emails may land in spam or be rejected entirely, and your domain is vulnerable to impersonation.

What's the difference between DMARC, SPF, and DKIM?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) specifies which mail servers can send email for your domain. DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) adds a digital signature to verify email hasn't been altered. DMARC builds on both—it tells receivers what to do when SPF or DKIM fails and sends you reports about authentication results. All three work together: SPF and DKIM authenticate, DMARC enforces and reports.

How long does it take to implement DMARC?

Traditional DMARC implementation takes 3-12 months because you need to identify all legitimate email sources, configure authentication, and gradually move from monitoring to enforcement. With Palisade's AI-powered platform, most organizations achieve full DMARC compliance in days or weeks—our Smart Setup automatically discovers your email sources and configures authentication correctly.

What are the Google and Microsoft DMARC requirements?

Microsoft is implementing strict DMARC requirements in 2025 that will require bulk senders to have valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records—without them, your emails may be rejected. Google and Yahoo already enforce similar requirements as of 2024 for anyone sending more than 5,000 emails per day. These aren't optional: bulk senders must have valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records with at least a p=none policy, though enforcement (quarantine or reject) is recommended for full protection.

How does Palisade make DMARC easier?

Palisade uses AI to automate the hardest parts of DMARC. Our Smart Setup scans your domain, identifies all your email-sending services (we recognize 1,500+ applications), and generates the correct DNS records automatically. Instead of manually analyzing XML reports and hunting down shadow IT, you get a clear dashboard showing exactly what's happening with your email authentication.

Can I manage DMARC for multiple domains or clients?

Yes—Palisade is built for scale. MSPs and enterprises use our multi-tenant platform to manage hundreds or thousands of domains from a single dashboard. You can deploy DMARC across your entire client base, generate white-label reports, and use our prospecting tools to identify new opportunities. Our pay-per-domain pricing means you only pay for what you manage.

How is Palisade different from other DMARC tools?

Most DMARC tools show you reports and leave you to figure out the rest. Palisade's AI actually does the work—it identifies your email sources, recommends the right configuration, and guides you to enforcement. We're built specifically for MSPs managing many domains, with white-label reporting, prospecting tools, and a multi-tenant dashboard. Our customers typically reach DMARC compliance 10x faster than with traditional tools.

What if DMARC breaks my email?

This is the #1 fear, and it's valid—poorly implemented DMARC can cause legitimate emails to fail. That's why Palisade starts in monitoring mode (p=none), which collects data without affecting delivery. Our AI analyzes your traffic patterns and only recommends moving to enforcement once all legitimate sources are properly authenticated. You can see exactly which emails would be affected before changing anything.

Do I need technical expertise to use Palisade?

No. Palisade is designed so anyone can implement DMARC correctly. Our Smart Setup handles DNS record generation, and we provide copy-paste instructions for adding records to any DNS provider. The dashboard shows plain-English explanations instead of raw XML data. If you can copy and paste, you can deploy DMARC with Palisade.

Is there a NFR or free plan?

Yes—MSPs get a free NFR (Not For Resale) license. Your own domain is free forever, so you can fully test Palisade on your own environment before rolling it out to clients. Just sign up and your domain is automatically set up as a free NFR—no commitment, no credit card required.
